ACTIVITY AT FIRS FARM TODAY

For anyone who noticed the activity today, Leics County Council has confirmed that this was equipment being removed legitimately. A suitable Waste Management company for this complex situation has now been identified, but a contract is yet to be confirmed, though this may be imminent.

FOOTBALL MATCHES ALLOWED TO RESTART

We'll have football matches on the Recreation Ground again from tomorrow, Saturday 1 August. As the FA has decided that grassroots football may play competitively again, friendly matches have been arranged, and the first two will take place this Saturday and Sunday. Why not come up and watch?

PLAY AREA REFURBISHMENT COMPLETE

The work to install the new Play Carpet at the Children's Play Area is now complete and the Play Area is now open for business! The wooden steps up to the slide have now been replaced also, although it's proving difficult to source bark chip to finish this off. We're still working on this one!

Repairs to Children's Play Area

Work to repair the steps on the slide will start tomorrow, Wednesday 15 July, which means that the slide will be out of use temporarily.

Following this, on Monday 27 July, work will start on re-surfacing parts of the Play Area matting. This will give a better surface which will not keep cracking as the existing surface has done, and is expected to take up to 5 days.

Temporary Traffic Lights

Temporary Multi-Way Control Signals will be in use in Husbands Bosworth along Kilworth Road between 10th and 23rd July, and along Welford Road between 6th July and 14th August whilst excavations in the carriageway and footway are carried out for the installation pf electrical cable.

The works will be carried out by HVSS on Behalf of ESP Electricity.

Play Area Re-opens

The Parish Council is pleased to announce that the Play Area is open once more for all children up to 12 years. Following government advice, we have run safety checks, completed a Risk Assessment and put up advisory notices for parents and children to read. You are especially advised to use hand sanitiser before and after you use any equipment.
