ROAD RESURFACING DATE CHANGE

The road resurfacing scheduled for 18/19 July did not take place. The new dates are 23 July for Highcroft and 24 July for Wells Close.

Harborough District Council have released revised dates for their planned roadworks. Please be aware that Road re-surfacing is now planned for Highcroft and Wells Close on 18th and 19th July.

NO. 58 BUS SERVICE - SAFE FOR NOW

Harborough District Council have stepped in and agreed to subsidise the number 58 bus service between Lutterworth and Market Harborough. Although this is great news for parishioners, the funding is only secured until June 2019 so the future is still uncertain. We will keep you updated as we find out more information.

NO. 58 BUS SERVICE UNDER THREAT

Anger is growing in the villages between Lutterworth and Market Harborough about the dire news that the No. 58 bus service is due to cease on 15 July 2018. Arriva, which operates the service running from Hinckley to Market Harborough, says that it is no longer economic to run it owing to low usage.

The new Parish Office will be officially opened this Saturday 16th June. Join us between 10am and 12pm to meet some of your councillors, ask any questions and find out more about your Parish Council.

ROAD RESURFACING PLANNED

Between 25th June 2018 and 25th July 2018 Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary imposition of NO WAITING OR LOADING AT ANY TIME and Temporary PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC to enable Micro asphalt surfacing works to be carried out safely in the following areas:

Highcroft, Husbands Bosworth
Wells Close, Husbands Bosworth

These works are weather dependant.

NEW SURGERY OPENS!

After many months of waiting, our new GP Surgery is finally open! There are still a few finishing touches to be done, as anyone who visits the new premises on Welford Road today will see, but it is looking very smart.

PAM SCOTT - RIP

We hear with regret of the death this week of Pam Scott. Pam was an ex-parishioner who lived at the bottom of Berridges Lane for over 20 years before moving to Scotland to live near one of her daughters three years ago, when failing health got the better of her.
