We'll have football matches on the Recreation Ground again from tomorrow, Saturday 1 August. As the FA has decided that grassroots football may play competitively again, friendly matches have been arranged, and the first two will take place this Saturday and Sunday. Why not come up and watch?

The work to install the new Play Carpet at the Children's Play Area is now complete and the Play Area is now open for business! The wooden steps up to the slide have now been replaced also, although it's proving difficult to source bark chip to finish this off. We're still working on this one!

The Parish Council is pleased to announce that the Play Area is open once more for all children up to 12 years. Following government advice, we have run safety checks, completed a Risk Assessment and put up advisory notices for parents and children to read. You are especially advised to use hand sanitiser before and after you use any equipment.

Leicestershire County Council has received funding from the Affordable Warmth Fund to deliver first time gas central heating to eligible households.
Much of Harborough District is not connected to the gas mains and this too can lead to much higher bills. The scheme is due to launch shortly and will be run by Eon.

A plea for the return of medical aids no longer required has been launched by East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG.
If you have been loaned a bed, mattress, hoist or commode that you no longer need, please arrange for it to be returned as much of this equipment could be recycled and reused. The Health and Wellbeing team at Harborough District Council have put together a Steady Steps online class together with an experienced instructor to support with falls prevention.
The online class is a great gentle exercise session for those struggling with their mobility.
