REMEMBER: There is likely to be lots of extra traffic in Bosworth today owing to the closure of Pincet Lane at its North end. All the traffic which normally uses Pincet Lane (for example, car transporters) will be diverted along Kilworth Road, Berridges Lane and Bell Lane for approximately four days.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is to be made for the closure of the northern end of Pincet Lane to facilitate a new water connection.
This should commence on 14th December 2020 and not exceed 4 days. The planned diversion will send all traffic through Husbands Bosworth village, so watch out for a higher number of heavy vehicles on Bell Lane, Berridges Lane and Kilworth Road for those 4 days.

Leicestershire County Council has announced that it is extending the times that people eligible for concessionary travel can use their bus passes during the coronavirus outbreak.
The council is responding to supermarkets across the county opening earlier for older people and disabled people, to give the most vulnerable access to food and essential provisions.

The Bosworth Grange building site on Welford Road has now closed for the foreseeable future.
The front of the main driveway from the road had the tarmac applied this morning, and this afternoon the temporary traffic lights and the fencing in the road are being dismantled, so that this section of the road should be free from obstruction for some time to come.

Police were alerted after shutters were forced at our supermarket at around 1.00 am this morning. A Police DC, Chantel Booth, was clipped by the car in Bell Lane and she was also threatened with a crowbar.
